Th/V: Bikes Beer and Rock'n Roll

Tendance Roadster organisait, jeudi dernier, le troisième opus de son Café Racer Tour. J'ai raté le premier mais j'étais là pour le second… Et j'avoue que j'attendais ce troisième volet avec impatience ! Pourtant, vous savez, quand on espère trop quelque chose, on est souvent déçu. Hé ben pas là. Mais alors pas du tout, hein. Au contraire. C'était encore mieux que la dernière fois.

À peine arrivé on me proposait une place dans un side-car Enfield, et d'la route ! Enfin, de la route… Rien de bien compliqué. On a juste sillonné les rues de Levallois, en pétaradant tout ce qu'on pouvait et rien que ça, quand on est une cinquantaine de bécanes - dont une Egli-Vincent (si si !!!) - et une bonne vieille Dodge Challenger Daytona, laissez moi vous dire que ça vaut bien… Au moins… Bon, j'sais pas ce que ça vaut mais c'est juste un grand pied. Le genre de truc qu'il faut ensuite se raconter entre potes en buvant de la Guiness et en écoutant du rock. Bon, pour la Guiness, j'avoue, on a laissé quelques bécanes dans le pub (qu'on est revenu chercher le lendemain matin après un petit déj à l'ibuprophène) et on est rentré sagement, en taxi.

Côté people, il y avait du beau monde. Guillaume, Alexandre et Benoit Tirard, de Tendance Roadster, off course! Il y avait aussi Nico de 4H10, qui nous a fait l'honneur d'un atelier mécanique aussi live qu'improvisé, là comme ça sur le trottoir. Et pour la musique, je vous laisse méditer sur les noms des deux groupes qui nous ont fait swinger comme des possédés : The Bad Men, et Les Moult Beat.

Voilà, ça se passait au Last Drop Pub de Levallois (un big merci à Pierre pour son accueil, son sens de l'hospitalité et son bœuf carottes de quatre heures du mat'). Maintenant, j'attends le N°4.

Last Thursday, Tendance Roadster was - again - all over the place with its fourth Cafe Racer Tour. Although I missed the first episode, I was there for the second one and I must admit that I was eager to attend this number three! But, you know, sometimes when you expect something too much, you may be kinda disappointed when comes the event. Well, not here. Not this time. Not at all. It was even better than last time.

As soon as I got on location I was offered to sit in an Enfield side-car, and there we were, noisily hitting Levallois-Perret's streets. Let me tell you that doing so, along with 50 bikes - including a superb Egli-Vincent (yes, you read it well!) - and a pretty monstrous Dodge Challenger Daytona, well, let me tell you that… It is well worth… Well, I don't know what exactly but - and that's my point - we got our kicks for good. It was the kind of experience you want to share with friends, drinking a pint of Guiness and listening to some cool rock. Talking about the Guiness thing, okay, we had to leave a few bikes at the pub (we got them back on the nest day, just after a light ibuprophen breakfast) and go back home by taxi.

Anyway, some really cool folks were there. Guillaume, Alexandre and Benoit Tirard from Tendance Roadster, off course. There was also Nico, from 4H10, who offered us a live mechanic workshop on the sidewalk, and music-wise I'll let you think about the cool names of the two bands that had us swing all night: The Bad Men, and The Moult Beat.

It all went too fast. It was at the Last Drop Pub of Levallois (big thanks to Pierre for his warm welcome and very much appreciated carrots and beef at 4 AM). Now, I'm waiting for a number 4.
