Ça, c'est mon vélo. Il a commencé sa vie sous le nom de Gitane Tour de l'Avenir, c'était au début des années 70, je crois. Je l'ai acheté d'occasion il y a trois ans. Il était orange. Oui, orange. Après un démontage en règle, une peinture, un nettoyage minutieux de toutes les pièces au Belgom™ et à la force du poignet (tout, vraiment tout, même les rayons des roues, les boulons, les maillons de la chaine, TOUT je vous dis), et après le remplacement de quelques pièces pour le moins indispensables… Il a changé de tête, il a repris vie, il est beau, il roule bien… C'est mon vélo, quoi.

This is my bicycle. It started its life under the magnificent name of Gitane Tour de l'Avenir, circa the early 70s, I think. I bought it to its first owner three years ago. It was orange. Yes, orange. Since then I completely stripped it, I had it painted and I clean every bits of what could be kept with a big amount of Belgom™ cream and to the energy of my own muscles (I really cleaned everything, each and every wheel spoke, bolt and screw, the hubs, EVERYTHING I tell you). And after replacing some very vital parts for new ones … My bicycle came back to life … With a new face, a new style, it is beautiful and really nice to ride. It is MY BICYCLE.
