Alors, Welcome to the hive!

[ENG] And so what? Why not? After all, I have stayed almost two years in Bombay. There, I have been smacked, upset like never, banged my head on the walls … What a city! I think that there is no other place on this earth that I love/hate so much. Bombay. There, they call it a Metro and let me tell you that Bombay is The Indian Metro, the one to go, the place to be in this uprising world because within a few years Bombay has become one of the new centres of the new world. And now in Bombay, one spends one's time going from slums to business parks. The city is dirty, very dirty - oh I know what you think, you think I'm one of those shitty Europeans who criticize pretty much everything, thinking they are the only good people on earth. Well, that would be thinking a little too fast. Besides, I do believe that We, Westerners, are a lot responsible for Bombay's dirt. Filth is not a matter of poverty. Like they say in Bombay: Bombay is the one place in the world where the richest man is the poorest one's neighbor. And trust me, in Bombay there are legions of richest and poorest men of the world. Bombay is overcrowded, everywhere and all the time. In Bombay it takes one hour to go seven kilometers, whatever your vehicle may be. Then go walking, will you say. True … Well, if only there were sidewalks. indeed, Bombay is not really a city. It is more of a dream, a promise. It is pure business, Bollywood , freedom, thieves, money and power affairs, luxury, beggars, hijras, temples, prayers, sinners, fishermen, beaches, Bandra, Chowpatty, VT Station … Bombay calls you, her doors are wide open, just like a giant octopus spreading her tentacles and screaming "come, I'll eat you raw!" ; and there we go.

Usually when one first comes to Bombay, the very first contact with the city is felt through the back seat of a black and yellow taxi or autorickshaw, like seated inside a big bee … So, welcome to the hive!
